MAINTENANCE QUESTIONS​

1.1 Add Maintenance Questions​

Add a Maintenance Question – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Access the Maintenance Questions Screen​

From the side menu, go to Maintenance > Master > Maintenance Questions. This opens the Maintenance Questions Search page.

Step 2: Add Maintenance Questions​

Click the "Add Maintenance Question" button on the top-right corner of the screen to open the add form.

Step 3: Fill in Maintenance Question Details​

  • Maintenance Question Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Select from options like Machine (default) or Asset. Dropdown values are from the Master Category.

  • If Machine is selected, the Machine Type dropdown appears.
  • If Asset is selected, the Category / Sub Category dropdown appears.
  • Maintenance Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Values are populated from the Master Category.

  • Machine Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Appears only when 'Machine' is selected.

  • Category / Sub Category Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Appears only when 'Asset' is selected.

  • Validation Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Options: Dropdown, Number, or Button. Values are from the Master Category.

    • If Dropdown is selected: A value table appears with Value and IsAccept columns, and an add button to insert multiple entries.
    • If Number is selected: Minimum and Maximum number fields are displayed for validation.
    • If Button is selected: Default validation values will be OK / Not OK.
  • Description [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Enter a description (max 200 characters).

  • Unit [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Select the Unit (values from Master Category).

  • Norms [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Enter up to 45 characters.

  • Required [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Choose Yes or No (default).

    • If Yes: A dropdown will appear to select specific Machines or Assets. The question becomes mandatory only for the selected entries.
    • If No: The question remains optional for all Machines or Assets.
  • Status [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Defaults to Active; can be set to Inactive.

Step 4: Save, Clear, or Cancel​

  • Submit – Saves the data and finalizes the entry.
  • Clear – Clears all entered values.
  • Cancel – Returns to the search page without saving.

1.2 Search Maintenance Questions​

Search for Maintenance Questions – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Apply Search Filters​

You can search using the following filters on the Maintenance Question Search screen:

  • Maintenance Question Type [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Choose Machine or Asset.
    • If Machine is selected: Machine Type dropdown will appear.
    • If Asset is selected: Category / Sub Category Type dropdown will appear.
  • Maintenance Type [Dropdown] (Optional) – Filter by maintenance type.
  • Description [Text Field] (Optional) – Filter by specific description.
  • Validation Type [Dropdown] (Optional) – Filter by validation type.
  • Unit [Dropdown] (Optional) – Filter by unit.
  • Status [Dropdown] (Optional) – Filter by status.
  • Required [Dropdown] (Optional) – Filter by required value.

Step 2: Search or Clear​

  • Search – Click to fetch results based on selected filters.
  • Clear – Resets all fields to default values.

Step 3: View Results​

Results matching your criteria are displayed in a table with the following columns:

  • View/Edit – Click to open a specific Maintenance Question for editing.

  • Maintenance Type – Displays the selected Maintenance Type.

  • Description – Shows the question or task description.

  • Validation Type – Indicates the input type (Dropdown, Number, or Button).

  • Unit – Displays the unit of measurement.

  • Required – Shows whether the question is mandatory (Yes) or optional (No).

  • Status – Displays the current status: Active or Inactive.

    • When the Maintenance Question Type is set to Machine, the Machine Type column is displayed.
    • When the Maintenance Question Type is set to Asset, the Category / Sub Category Type column is displayed.

  • You can use a single filter or combine multiple filters for precise results.
  • A search field above the table allows for quick filtering.
  • Click 'Export as Excel' to generate a report in Excel format.

1.3 Edit Maintenance Questions​

Edit a Maintenance Question – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Access the Edit Page​

From the results table, click "View/Edit" next to the record you wish to modify.

Step 2: Update Details​

Modify any editable fields. Update dropdowns, text fields, units, validations, and status as needed.

tip

Key Restrictions While Editing:

  • The Maintenance Question Type field is read-only and cannot be changed.
  • The Validation Type field is read-only and cannot be changed if a maintenance entry for this Question already exists.
  • The "Clear" button is disabled during the edit process.

Step 3: Save or Cancel​

  • Submit – Applies and saves all changes.
  • Cancel – Discards changes and returns to the search screen.
