ASSET MASTER​

1.1 Add Asset Master​

Add an Asset Master – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Access the Asset Master Screen​

From the side menu, click on "Maintenance", then go to "Master" and select "Asset".
This will open the Asset Master Search page.

Step 2: Add an Asset Master​

On the top-right corner of the Asset Search page, click on the "Add Asset" button.

Step 3: Fill in Asset Details​

  • Asset Number [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Auto-generated based on the last asset entry.

  • Asset Owner [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Select from options such as Supplier, Internal, or Customer. Values are populated from the Master Category.

  • Asset Category [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Select the asset category. Values are taken from the Asset Category master.

  • Sub Asset Category [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Populated based on the selected Asset Category.

  • Asset Name [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Enter up to 200 characters for the asset name.

  • Manufacturer [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Enter up to 200 characters.

  • Model / Serial No [Text Field] (Mandatory) – Enter the asset's model or serial number, up to 200 characters.

  • Maintenance Frequency [Dropdown] (Optional) – Select a frequency (daily, weekly, etc.). Values are pulled from the Master Category.

  • Status [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Choose between Active (default) or Inactive.

    • If Inactive is selected:
      An additional Reason field appears. This is a mandatory dropdown field with values from the Master Category.
  • Remarks [Text Area] (Mandatory) – Add any additional information.

Step 4: Save, Clear, or Cancel​

  • Submit – Saves the data to the system and finalizes the Asset Master entry.
  • Clear – Clears all entered values.
  • Cancel – Returns to the search page without saving.

1.2 Search Asset Master​

Search for an Asset Master – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Apply Search Filters​

You can search using the following filters on the Asset Master Search screen:

  • Asset Category [Dropdown] (Optional)
  • Sub Asset Category [Dropdown] (Optional) – Defaults to showing all subcategories. Filters if an Asset Category is selected.
  • Asset Owner [Dropdown] (Optional)
  • Asset Name [Text Field] (Optional)
  • Maintenance Frequency [Dropdown] (Optional)
  • Status [Dropdown] (Mandatory) – Default is Active.

Step 2: Search or Clear​

  • Search – Click to fetch results based on the selected filters.
  • Clear – Resets all filters to default.

Step 3: View Results​

Results matching your criteria are displayed in a table with the following columns:

  • View/Edit – Click to open a specific asset for editing.
  • Asset Category - Sub Asset Category – Displays the selected category and subcategory.
  • Asset Name – Name of the asset.
  • Asset Owner – Owner type.
  • Maintenance Frequency – Frequency of maintenance.
  • Status – Active or Inactive.

  • You can use a single filter or combine multiple filters for precise results.
  • A search field above the table allows for quick filtering.
  • Click 'Export as Excel' to generate a report in Excel format.

1.3 Edit Asset Master​

Edit an Asset Master – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Access the Edit Page​

After searching, locate the asset in the results table and click on "View/Edit" next to it.

Step 2: Update Details​

Make the required changes to the editable fields. Modify text fields, dropdowns, or upload files as necessary.

Step 3: Save or Cancel​

  • Submit – Saves all updates and finalizes the changes.
  • Cancel – Discards changes and returns to the search page.
