1. Step-by-Step Guide to Generate Serial Numbers​

Step 1: Navigate to Bulk Serial Number Generate Screen​

  • From the main side menu, click on "Production and Quality", then go to "Operations", and finally choose "Serial No Generate".This will directly open the Bulk Serial Number Generate page.

Step 2: Fill in the Required Fields​

  • Part Name - Control plan [Dropdown][Mandatory] – Select the part and associated control plan for which serial numbers are required.
  • Child Part [Optional] – Toggle ON if generating serials for a child part.
  • Batch No [Dropdown][Optional] – Select the relevant batch number.
  • Heat Code / Month Code [Text Field][Mandatory] – Enter the heat code or month indicator. This is often used for traceability.
  • Quantity [Text Field][Mandatory] – Enter the number of serial numbers you want to generate. Must be ≤ Remaining Qty.
  • Serial Number [Text Field][Mandatory] – Displays the starting serial number. The system will auto-increment from this.

Step 3: Submit the Form​

  • After filling all the mandatory fields, click the Submit button.
  • The system will generate the specified quantity of serial numbers, starting from the provided base serial.

  • Fields marked with * are mandatory.
  • Select Part Name and Control Plan accurately for correct serial generation.
  • Enter Quantity and Starting Serial Number carefully to ensure proper sequence.
  • Use Child Part or Batch No only if required for traceability.
